2013 Summer Series!

Registration for the 2013 Caldwell County 4-H Summer Series if officially open. We have gotten lots of phone calls asking us to bring this back, and we are excited about the plans we have for this year. The 4-H Summer Series will be a 4 week series that focuses on different 4-H projects and opportunities. Follow the link to learn what sessions we will be offering and to download the registration forms. Registration is open to all youth between the ages of 8 and 18. Registration will close on June 28th. Contact the Extension Office for any questions.

Recordbooks

Just a reminder that June 21st at 5:00 pm is the deadline for recordbooks to be submitted. Here is a link that has some great information on how to do recordbooks: http://texas4-h.tamu.edu/youth_recordbooks

Recordbooks are a great way to learn to set goals, watch your growth through out your 4-H years, and is one of the most helpful tools when it comes time to complete scholarship applications (and not just 4-H applications). If you have any questions, please let us know!

County 4-H Awards

It is once again time to apply for 4-H awards in Caldwell County! Here is a link that will bring you to all of our awards and applications. Caldwell County Junior Livestock show Beef entries

Beef entries (Market/Breeding)   will be June 17, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon at the Lockhart Auction Barn.    If you are planning to show beef in the CCJLS you must enter your beef project that day.    Major show steer validation will be the same day and time.

Show Turkey Orders

Deadline to order is July 8, 2013.   You may come by the office and order between now and July 8, 2013.  These are for turkeys which will be shown at CCJLS, San Antonio, Houston, or Star of Texas. Price is $87.50 per 25.  Minimum order is 25 poults.   Make checks payable to Caldwell 4-H Council.   If bringing cash please bring the correct change.  Cash is not kept in the office.

Market Lamb Selection Tuesday May 21, 2013
