Through an application process, (32) high-school age youth are selected to participate in an advanced level of education and training via a summer 4-H2O Youth Leadership Academy experience, continuing education opportunities, and mentorship by individuals in the water industry and in academia. Youth will form an appreciation for and broadened perspective of the importance of water to support the quality of life and economic needs of rural and urban communities alike. Pick-up and drop off will be in Austin, Texas. Tentative dates for the Academy are July 8 – July 15.
