Scholarship Opportunities

The Luling Foundation offers Agriculture, Healthcare, and Trade/Vocational Scholarships.  Applications are now being accepted and are due by March 31, 2018. Graduating seniors residing in Caldwell, Gonzales, or Guadalupe County are eligible to apply.  Applications are available online www.lulingfoundation.org, through the high school counselor’s office, or at the county extension office.  For more information, contact The Luling Foundation at 830-875-2438 or lulingfoundation@sbcglobal.net.  

The Area Go Texan Scholarship from the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is now $20,000 and a student from Caldwell County will be selected to receive this; the deadline to apply online is February 5, 2018; supplemental paperwork is due in Houston by February 15, 2018.  http://www.rodeohouston.com/Educational-Support/Scholars/Apply. 

An additional opportunity is available through the Caldwell County Go Texan (501c3).  This organization has given away over $250,000 in scholarships to local students pursuing a college degree or attending a trade school.  The deadline to apply is March, 31, 2018.
