Bird City Texas Pilot

Applications are being accepted for the Bird City Texas Pilot!
Your patience and preparation have paid off. Audubon Texas and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department are happy to announce that Bird City Texas’ pilot year is live for community participants from the 2016 and August 2017 stakeholder meetings. Applications are being accepted now through December 17th from eligible communities that have met certification criteria.
Where birds thrive, people prosper. From urban centers to rural towns, each community can provide important habitat for birds. We encourage communities of all sizes and types to consider submitting an application to our program. Your submission contributes to the health of native ecosystems, the resiliency of birds and wildlife, and the well-being of human communities. Certified communities will receive local and statewide recognition and community benefits upon certification.

Find out more online. If you have any questions about the program please contact birdcitytexas@audubon.org.

Thank you for making Texas a better place for birds, wildlife, and people.
